Privacy policy

This policy explains how personal information is handled when you use sportmule.com.au or contact us.
Who we are
Sport Mule is operated by Benjamin John Robinson, a sole trader trading as Sport Mule. ABN 69 839 641 934. Email support@sportmule.com.au with privacy questions or requests.
Information we collect and use
Account information. Your email address, account identifier and sign-in settings are handled through Lovable Cloud authentication. If you choose Google sign-in, Google may also supply a name or profile image.
Research and saved choices. Questions you ask, selected sports or players, filters, research summaries and sample sizes; saved trends and notes; follows, alerts, preferences and notification settings. Selection Tracker records can include a match, market, bookmaker, odds, stake, result and notes you enter.
Usage and access records. Your plan and access status, allowance counters, time zone and selected-pick records. Some allowance records contain question text separately from Research History. A network address may be processed to create a pseudonymous identifier for usage limits. Administrative access changes can create audit records.
AI requests. AI-assisted features send your question and relevant sports or answer context through Lovable's AI gateway to external model infrastructure. This can include selected leagues, player or team information and sporting evidence. Please do not put passwords, payment details or unnecessary sensitive information in questions or notes.
Billing and support. We use your email and account identifier to connect payments with Premium. We receive and store subscription identifiers, status, billing-period dates and cancellation information. Stripe collects payment details through its checkout. If you contact support, we receive your email, message and any attachments you send.
Technical information. Service infrastructure processes connection and device information. Diagnostics can contain errors, stack traces, page addresses and security reports. Page addresses can include text you typed.
How we get this information
We receive information from you when you sign in, use features or contact us; from your browser and our service infrastructure; and from sign-in and payment providers. Sports data used in research comes from third-party sports sources and can include information about identifiable players.
Account details are needed for account-based features, and payment information is needed to buy Premium. Questions, saves, tracker notes and support attachments depend on what you choose to use or send. If you do not provide information a feature needs, that feature may not work.
Why we use information
We use information to provide sign-in and plan access, deliver features you choose, apply usage limits, generate research responses, connect payments with your account, investigate faults or security concerns, and answer support and privacy requests. We may also need information to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.
Where UK data protection law applies, our grounds for these uses are: performance of our contract for account access, requested features, subscription administration and related support; legitimate interests in keeping the service secure, enforcing fair usage limits and resolving faults or disputes; legal obligations for required records and disclosures; and consent where an optional use requires it. Our legitimate interests are running a reliable service and protecting it and its users from abuse.
We use automated systems to apply plan entitlements and usage limits and to generate AI-assisted responses. Contact support if you think an account-access or allowance result is wrong.
Service providers
Lovable Cloud provides our application infrastructure, including authentication, database and storage services. Its AI gateway processes AI requests, and its connector gateway is used for Stripe payment calls. OpenAI models are used through Lovable's AI gateway.
Stripe and Link handle payments and related services. They may handle information for their own legal, fraud-prevention and payment responsibilities as well as providing services to us. Their privacy notices explain their processing and rights-request options.
Google provides Google sign-in and our support mailbox. Cloudflare Turnstile is used for security checks in the sign-in flow. Loading these external services can give the provider connection and browser information. We load no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and fonts are served by Sport Mule itself.
Providers can use their own service providers to deliver these functions. We may disclose information when legally required or where needed to address fraud, security or legal claims, subject to applicable law.
International processing
Sport Mule is operated from Australia. Our Lovable Cloud database region is Tokyo, Japan, and Lovable has confirmed that database backups use the selected region. Lovable has also confirmed that AI requests enter in the European Union and are passed to provider endpoints in the United States. The Tokyo setting does not cover every part of the service.
Payment, email, security, support and other infrastructure can process information in other countries. Stripe's privacy notice identifies international transfers including to the United States and India. Google and Cloudflare describe international processing in their own notices.
Lovable's data processing agreement includes European standard contractual clauses and the UK Addendum for transfers to which those mechanisms apply. Applicable safeguards depend on the provider and transfer. You can contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your information.
Cookies and browser storage
The app uses browser storage for sign-in, preferences, recent activity, saved patterns and question drafts, separately from your account records. A draft may stop being offered for restoration before the text is removed.
Browser controls can clear or block storage and cookies, but this may sign you out or affect features. This does not remove server, provider or other-device records. External sign-in, payment and security services may also use cookies or similar technology.
Storage and retention
Account records are stored electronically with our providers. Sign-in and account controls help limit access. Browser records remain until you, the browser or the app remove them. Please take care on shared devices.
Research, saved selections and other account records do not all have an automatic age-based expiry. Removing an item in the app affects that feature's records; a history display limit does not determine how long all related information is held.
Retention needs differ by record: account and saved-work records support ongoing features; allowance and security records help apply limits and investigate abuse; support records help resolve requests; and necessary financial or dispute records may need to be kept for legal obligations or claims. A deletion request may be subject to those limited exceptions.
Providers have separate processes. Lovable describes two-stage deletion: first making affected data inaccessible, then permanently removing it, including backups, after an unpublished holding period. It has not provided fixed retention or deletion periods for users, projects, backups, logs or AI content. This does not establish immediate deletion of a Sport Mule account or every related copy. Stripe may retain necessary payment records after closure for legal, fraud-prevention and financial purposes.
Your requests and choices
Email support@sportmule.com.au to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your personal information. Tell us which account and information you mean, without sending passwords or full payment details. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity and clarify the request.
Requests are support-assisted. We will review the request, explain any applicable exception or further step, and respond within the time required by the law that applies. Depending on that law, you may also have rights to restrict processing, object, receive portable data, withdraw consent or appeal a decision. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.
App controls can clear Research History and remove individual saved items, selections, alerts or follows. Separate allowance, notification or provider records can remain. Premium cancellation and account deletion are separate; say if you want both so billing consequences can be addressed.
Privacy concerns and policy changes
To complain, email support@sportmule.com.au with the issue and the outcome you are seeking. We will assess it, ask for further information if needed and explain our response. You may also complain to the relevant privacy authority, including the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) where it has jurisdiction or the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) where UK law applies.
We will update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek consent before a relevant change takes effect.
