Every filter below is part of the rule being tested. Changing one clears the current result until you run the backtest again.
Methodology and data basis
Chronological ordering and no look-ahead. The period is declared before results are read. Matches outside it are excluded, and each chart point uses only results on or before its date.
Settlement and pushes. Sport Mule uses each league's stored settled result exactly as recorded. Pushes remain separate and return zero units.
Odds and reference stake. Only the selected stored price snapshot is used. Every stored bookmaker price is one observation with a 100-unit reference stake.
ROI calculation. Historical ROI is total level-stake return divided by stored price observations. Average odds are descriptive and are never used to calculate ROI.
Data source. Results: approved results provider. Prices: The Odds API. Read-only historical data; no records are changed by running a backtest.
